Lola Kirke was in the midst of recording her album Lady for Sale, when she received a call from her agent about a role in the HBO series Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty. She hadn’t done a lot of acting recently do to the pandemic so she took the role. She has since completed the album which is due out April 29. But Kirke is no stranger to the screen, having had roles in films like Gone Girl, Mistress American, and American Made. She was also the main character in the Amazon series Mozart in the Jungle. She talked with the Radio BOSS about wanting to attend a Lakers game, her thoughts on Los Angeles, the album, her music, the influence her father Simon had on her, and what’s on the horizon.
