Candiace Dillard Bassett is one of the most popular stars of the reality tv series Real Housewives of Potomac. But the 36-year-old Georgia native has immense talent and has done quite a bit in her career. She grew up in Atlanta and studied at Howard University in Washington, DC, earning a degree in communications and broadcast journalism. Before putting that degree to use in her field, she was on the pageantry circuit including participating in National American Miss, National Miss American Coed, Georgia Miss American Coed, Miss Maryland USA, Miss District of Columbia USA, and Miss United States. She won the Miss United States crown in 2013, representing DC. She is also a singer, having produced two albums, Deep Space in 2021 and more recently Deep Space Deluxe. She talked extensively with the Radio BOSS about her time at Howard University in Washington, DC and how much Go-go music influenced her and her music, about her role on RHOP, her current music tour, whether or not she will compete in the Mrs. USA pageant.
