Detroit Lions general manager on not initially being interviewed for general manager positions.
Brad Holmes went from national champion. to PR intern to general manager. He is one of the very few HBCU alums in professional sports that is a general manager. The North Carolina A&T grad was a captain on the 1999 HBCU national championship team. He talks with Donal Ware about playing at N.C. A&T, the car accident that almost took his life, becoming a public relations intern with the then St. Louis Rams, and then moving up to scout, then to executive, and ultimately becoming the general manager of the Detroit Lions and the move that sent Matthew Stafford to the Rams and what the Lions receive in return in Jared Goff.
