George Lombard is the first base coach of the Los Angeles Dodgers and is destined to become an MLB manager, having already interviewed for positions. His mother, who is white, was part of the civil rights movement in the 1960’s. Lombard talks with Donal Ware about his mother, social injustice, being part of the Dodgers organization, and about Dodgers star Mookie Betts, whose first manger in professional baseball was Lombard.

We here the phrase all the time, don’t talk about it, be about it. Well my mom was about it.
